How I can clean up oil in front of a harness?
I recently bought a harness horse at auction. Apparently, a brilliant person decided to put his neck in old motor oil to make it look nicer or something. There is a very thick neck, enough to make it around my hands and clothing when handling. How I can clean up the oil without damaging the old, stiff leather harness?
Support soap can help. I've seen this done before I bought a harness that was almost dripping neatsfoot oil. I cleaned it thoroughly with saddle soap and then put a good leather conditioner on it.
